Wickham: Could start for Town

Wickham: Could start for Town

Ipswich boss Roy Keane could hand a start to striker Connor Wickham.

The talented teenager, who is consistently linked with a move away from Portman Road, has made substitute appearances in the last two fixtures after returning from a hip injury.

Captain Gareth McAuley made his return to the first XI in the 1-1 draw with Coventry on New Year's Day following two months out with an Achilles injury and the Northern Ireland defender is expected to keep his place.

Goalkeeper Brian Murphy has undergone surgery on an ankle problem he picked up before Christmas and will be out for at least three months.

Winger Shane O'Connor also remains on the sidelines with a ruptured and dislocated shoulder joint and will miss six weeks.

Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies hopes to have Ryan Bertrand and Paul McKenna available.

Both players missed the home draw with Barnsley - on loan defender Bertrand with a hamstring problem sustained during the victory over East Midlands rivals Derby and captain McKenna through illness.

Dele Adebola returned from a knee injury on New Year's Day and the big striker should be on the bench once more.

Davies made three changes against the Tykes and the Scot will shuffle his pack again.

Aaron Ramsey could make his second start for the club while fellow midfielder Paul Anderson, defender Kelvin Wilson and forward Nathan Tyson may also come into the reckoning.
