Brunt: Will skipper West Brom

Goalkeeper Boaz Myhill will make his first Premier League start for West Brom.

Baggies boss Robert Di Matteo has revealed Scott Carson will drop down to the bench to make way for Myhill, who impressed between the posts during last weekend's narrow FA Cup defeat to Reading.

Chris Brunt will take the captain's armband in Carson's absence.

Peter Odemwingie is battling an ankle injury, while Ismael Miller and Pablo Ibanez are also doubtful with hamstring problems.

Jonas Olsson is suspended and Steven Reid is recovering from knee surgery, but defender Gabriel Tamas is available following a three-match ban.

Blackpool midfielder Elliot Grandin faces a late fitness test.

Grandin has suffered problems with his hamstring in recent weeks and was withdrawn in the second half against Liverpool on Wednesday, although Seasiders boss Ian Holloway is optimistic the Frenchman will be able to travel with the squad to the midlands.

Holloway has no other fresh injury concerns, but David Carney is still at the Asian Cup with Australia.
