Rob Milsom is in line for his Aberdeen debut, but fellow new loan signing Nick Blackman may have to wait to make his Dons bow.

Milsom joined from Fulham on Thursday and could take the place of the suspended Paul Hartley in midfield, but Blackman, who played under Aberdeen boss Craig Brown at Motherwell and agreed a switch to Pittodrie from Blackburn, is suffering with a virus.

Nikola Vujadinovic requires international clearance to play after extending his loan from Udinese until the end of the season, while Yoann Folly (broken ankle), Darren Mackie and Fraser Fyvie (both knee) remain out.

St Mirren could have a shortage of strikers for the clash.

Gareth Wardlaw is out for four to six weeks with ankle ligament damage while Michael Higdon is a major doubt with a knee problem.

Marc McAusland is also expected to miss out with a foot knock while Patrick Cregg is suspended.

Aberdeen (from): Langfield, Diamond, Ifil, Considine, McArdle, Young, Aluko, Magennis, Hartley, Vernon, Maguire, Pawlett, McNamee, Howard, Paton, Jack, Robertson, Vujadinovic, Anderson, Milsom, Blackman.

St Mirren (from): Gallacher, Barron, Van Zanten, McGregor, Travner, Thomson, McGowan, Dargo, Mair, Samson, Goodwin, Mooy, McLean, Potter, McQuade, Lynch, McCluskey, Bradley.

James Milner: Jose's Perfect Player?

Probably. But presumably he would not swap one bench for another. We have mails on over-hyped players, Arsenal enthusiasm, UEFA, FIFA and naked dudes...

Francis Is Coq Of The North (London)

There is more praise for Mesut Ozil, but it's Francis Coquelin who gets the big love in the Mails. Plus Lazio, Wilshere swears (who cares?) and an over-capped England...
