Moxey: Back in Rams squad

Dean Moxey will return to the Derby squad.

The left-back missed the defeat to Watford through illness but has resumed training this week and could be recalled to Nigel Clough's starting line-up.

A handful of other players could also be in contention for recalls following the 3-0 loss at Vicarage Road.

Defender Dean Leacock, midfielder Stephen Pearson and forward Steve Davies came off the bench against the Hornets, while Jake Buxton, Ben Pringle and Tomasz Cywka featured in the Rams' Derbyshire Senior Cup victory at Chesterfield on Wednesday.

Midfielder Cywka could force his way into the team, while the best Buxton and Pringle can hope for is to be included on the bench.

Ben Davies will also go straight into the squad after joining from Notts County on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies faces a selection dilemma.

The Scot must decide whether he can find places in his starting line-up for attacking trio Dele Adebola, Lewis McGugan and Nathan Tyson, who all made a significant impact from the bench during last weekend's late home win over Portsmouth.

Fellow forward David McGoldrick and midfielder Paul McKenna are also fresh and available to Davies after being unused substitutes against Pompey.

However, any changes up front would mean breaking up the partnership of former Ram Robert Earnshaw and Marcus Tudgay.

Forest are looking to complete a league double over Derby in little over three weeks after winning 5-2 at the City Ground on December 29.
