David Barron is a major doubt for St Mirren.

The defender is struggling with a calf injury ahead of the Paisley contest.

The pair were each sent off for two bookable offences in United's 1-1 draw at Kilmarnock last Saturday, while Danny Swanson (back) is set to be named on the bench despite only recently returning to training.

Garry Kenneth, who scored the equaliser at Rugby Park despite a dead leg, is set to start, but Paul Dixon (ankle), Mihael Kovacevic (knee), Scott Severin (foot) and Darren Dods (knee) remain out.
