Kevin Kyle remains Hearts' biggest injury concern ahead of the game.

The striker has missed the last three matches with a groin problem and is rated as doubtful alongside Calum Elliot, Darren Barr and Jason Thomson.

Rudi Skacel, who has been struggling with a calf problem, came off at half-time in the 4-0 loss at Celtic on Wednesday, but Andrew Driver (thigh) is the only definite absentee.

St Johnstone's Danny Grainger starts the first of a two-game ban after going over the points threshold.

Jamie Adams is available after overcoming injury and illness.
