Gower: In line for recall

Andy Keogh could make his Bristol City debut in the game. Boss Keith Millen has bolstered his striking options with the loan signing of the Wales international from Wolves.

Last season's leading goal scorer Nicky Maynard is still on the road to recovery after summer knee surgery and Jonathan Stead recently underwent an ankle operation so Keogh, who recently had a loan spell at Swansea's South Wales rivals Cardiff, will challenge David Clarkson and Brett Pitman for a starting role.

Millen hopes to sign a second new player ahead of the game after agreeing a fee with Scunthorpe for midfielder Martyn Woolford. He will come into contention if the deal can be completed before Monday's 11pm transfer deadline.

Millen could be short of options in defence with Christian Ribeiro (knee), Lewin Nyatanga (Achilles), Nicky Hunt (hamstring) and James Wilson (knee) all recently receiving treatment.

Andrea Orlandi misses the first part of Swansea's derby double header at Bristol City having been ruled out for up to six weeks.

Orlandi, a midfielder by trade, was making his return from a thigh strain at left-back in Saturday's FA Cup defeat to Leyton Orient when he was forced off with a Grade Two strain to his other thigh, leaving him facing a March return to action.

Manager Brendan Rodgers made five changes for the cup tie and Dorus de Vries, Angel Rangel, Ashley Richards, Mark Gower and Nathan Dyer are all in line for recalls.

Midfielder Leon Britton also comes back into the fold having been cup-tied at the weekend following his January switch from Sheffield United.

Captain Garry Monk (knee) remains on the treatment table for the foreseeable future, while fellow defender Neil Taylor (ankle) moves nearer his return but misses out at Ashton Gate.

Swansea make the short trip down the M4 knowing a positive result would set them up nicely for Sunday's home clash against fierce local rivals Cardiff.
