Lewis: Faces competition

Peterborough will have goalkeeper Paul Jones available.

Jones joined on loan from Exeter on transfer deadline day but has been added as competition for - and not as a replacement for - Joe Lewis.

Captain Grant McCann is back from a ban and should return to midfield as Posh look to bounce back from the defeat at Colchester on Friday night.

Defender Gabriel Zakuani is still three weeks away from a return after dislocating his shoulder but Lee Frecklington is back.

The midfielder returned as a last-minute substitute on Friday night after months out with an ankle injury and he is in contention to feature.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine could include new loan signing Isaiah Osbourne in his starting line-up for the game.

Midfielder Osbourne, signed on Sunday from Aston Villa until the end of the season, became Irvine's fifth capture of the January transfer window.

Striker Gary Madine is back in contention after being ineligible for the weekend's FA Cup tie, leaving Irvine with four strikers to choose from after Clinton Morrison partnered Paul Heffernan up front against Hereford, with Neil Mellor starting on the substitutes' bench.

Morrison boosted his chances of retaining his place in the starting line-up by converting two penalties.

The Owls are still without midfielder Tommy Miller and versatile defender Lewis Buxton (both hamstring), defender Jon Otsemobor (calf) and teenage midfielder Liam Palmer (ankle).
