Moxey: Poised for Palace bow

Dean Moxey is in line to make his Palace debut in the game.

The defender joined Palace from Derby on transfer deadline day but was not able to feature at Watford on Tuesday night as he was suspended, having been sent off on his final appearance for the Rams.

Moxey could go straight in at left-back in place of Matt Parsons, despite the teenager's impressive recent displays.

Centre-half Anthony Gardner sat things out at Vicarage Road with a knock and will be checked over with Adam Barrett on standby to deputise again.

Full-back Lee Hills remains a long-term absentee with a knee injury.

James Vaughan keeps his place in attack after scoring his first goal since returning on loan from Everton in Tuesday's 1-1 draw.

Manager Tony Mowbray is facing a major selection headache as Boro attempt to defend a six-game unbeaten Championship run.

Mowbray has no fewer than 11 men on the injured list with only Mikael Tavares (fractured toe) and Marvin Emnes, whose groin problem is still being assessed, in with a chance of making the squad.

German midfielder Maximilian Haas could be included for the first time after completing a move from Bayern Munich's II team earlier this week but midfielder Merouane Zemmama is likely to watch from the stands after having to return to his native Morocco to apply for a visa.

Midfielder Tarmo Kink returned to training after illness on Thursday but will not travel as he completes his recovery.

Barry Robson (Achilles), Danny Coyne (back), Stephen McManus and Luke Williams (ankle ligaments), Kevin Thomson (hairline fracture of the fibula), Willo Flood (knee), Rhys Williams (pelvis) and Justin Hoyte (hamstring) remain on the sidelines.
