Nicky Maynard will make his long-awaited return to the Bristol City squad for the game. Last season's top scorer has yet to feature this campaign after undergoing knee surgery in the summer.
He topped up his fitness with another run-out for the reserves on Wednesday, and boss Keith Millen said: "He will be in the squad.
"He's a little stiff but he will train on Friday. He's very excited about it and it will be great to see him back."
With Maynard back in the frame, Millen could opt to stick with the three-pronged attack of Brett Pitman, Andy Keogh and David Clarkson that finished the game at Preston last weekend.
If selected, defender Louis Carey will make his 600th appearance for the club.
Leeds manager Simon Grayson has confirmed new loan signing Eric Lichaj will start in Saturday's game. American international Lichaj, drafted in from Aston Villa for an initial month this week, will step in for Paul Connolly, who is sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
Striker Sanchez Watt is still out after missing the last two games due to a similar problem.
Winger Robert Snodgrass is expected to be fit following his debut for Scotland in the midweek Carling Nations Cup win over Northern Ireland.
But Grayson has yet to check on strikers Davide Somma and Ramon Nunez, who were also on international duty this week, for South Africa and Honduras respectively.
Grayson has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side look to keep pace with the automatic promotion chasers.
