Rangers are boosted by the news that Kyle Lafferty is set to return.

Lafferty missed the Scottish Cup tie against Celtic with tonsilitis, and was tested for glandular fever, but has recovered and is back in contention for the clash at Ibrox.

Lee McCulloch is out as he prepares to undergo knee surgery next week, while Kirk Broadfoot is still sidelined with a foot problem.

Motherwell have a number of injury doubts for the clash.

Keith Lasley (ribs), Stephen Craigan and Stevie Hammell (both hamstring) could all miss the game, while Steven Saunders is suspended and also has a hamstring injury.

Bob McHugh remains on the sidelines with a wrist injury but new signing Francis Jeffers will be included in the squad.

Rangers (from): McGregor, Whittaker, Papac, Weir, Bougherra, Davis, Diouf, Edu, Ness, Weiss, Naismith, Lafferty, Foster, Fleck, Healy, Bartley, Jelavic, Alexander.

Motherwell (from): Randolph, Hateley, Gunning, Hutchinson, Page, Jennings, Forbes, Humphrey, Sutton, Murphy, Meechan, Pollock, Smith, Jeffers, Jones, Casagolda, Lasley, Craigan, Hammell.
