Marrow: Over his ankle injury

Marrow: Over his ankle injury

Crystal Palace will be boosted by the return of Alex Marrow for the match.

The midfielder has missed the last five matches with an ankle injury but is now fit enough to make the squad.

Number One goalkeeper Julian Speroni was relegated to the bench in the 1-0 defeat at Burnley on Saturday after suffering a groin injury with Lewis Price coming in to make his debut and with Palace boss Dougie Freedman not wanting to risk any further damage to Speroni, Price looks set to keep his place.

Ipswich loanee Pablo Counago and Jermaine Easter will be pushing for starts up front after coming on as substitutes against the Clarets but may have to settle for bench roles again as Freedman seems to favour the strike pairing of on-loan Everton hitman James Vaughan and Steffen Iversen.

The Eagles, who are unbeaten at home since October, continue to be without full-back Lee Hills due to the knee injury that has kept him out since April.

Cardiff will assess the fitness of Seyi Olofinjana, Michael Chopra and Paul Quinn ahead of the game.

Influential on-loan midfielder Olofinjana has missed the last two games with a knee injury but trained on Sunday and will be monitored ahead of the Selhurst Park clash.

Chopra (ankle) has been playing through the pain barrier in recent weeks and completed 87 minutes of Saturday's 2-0 home defeat to Ipswich.

But he will be checked along with full-back Paul Quinn, who also played at the weekend despite struggling with illness all last week.

Despite losing 2-0 to Town, manager Dave Jones has admitted it would be hard to make changes to his starting XI.

Goalkeepers Tom Heaton (groin) and David Marshall (elbow) continue to miss out long-term, meaning Stephen Bywater is likely to continue between the sticks ahead of fellow loan signing Jason Brown.
