Doyley: Back from a hamstring problem

Watford defender Lloyd Doyley will return against the Blades.

The popular right-back has missed five games with a hamstring injury but returned to full training this week and is back in contention.

Midfielder Stephen McGinn has begun a lengthy lay-off after he suffered a serious knee ligament injury which ended his season recently.

On-loan Manchester United man Danny Drinkwater suffered a thigh injury in the same match at Doncaster and is having treatment at United's Carrington training ground, so striker Troy Deeney will continue on the right of midfield.

Youngster Michael Bryan is back in training after an ankle injury but the winger is unlikely to force his way into manager Malky MacKay's first XI.

Sheffield United are hoping Nick Montgomery and Sam Vokes can prove their fitness in time for the game.

Midfielder Montgomery returned to the starting line-up for the midweek win over Nottingham Forest but is struggling with an ongoing knee problem while on-loan Wolves striker Vokes has been nursing a hamstring injury in recent weeks.

Another on-loan player, Bjorn Helge Riise from Fulham, will not be in contention as he has had an injection to aid his recovery from a hamstring strain. However, striker Ched Evans, who missed the win over Forest due to a knee injury, could return to training on Friday in time to be in contention.

The Blades secured their first win in 15 league matches - and manager Micky Adams' first in charge - against Forest.

Adams has no other new injury or suspension problems but Chris Morgan, Andy Taylor, Ryan France, Richard Wright and Darius Henderson are still out.
