Frecklington: Unavailable for Posh

Darren Ferguson is poised to name an unchanged Peterborough side for the visit of Carlisle.

The February manager of the month saw Posh make it two wins from two for March with a 1-0 win at Notts County in midweek and will keep faith with the same XI.

Forward Lee Tomlin returned from illness to start alongside in-form Craig Mackail-Smith at Meadow Lane and will be looking for his first goal since the defeat at Charlton last month.

Midfielder Lee Frecklington has had a hernia operation and will be sidelined for at least a month while new signing Paul Taylor will not feature as he is not match fit.

Striker Dave Hibbert is absent as he steps up his comeback from a dislocated knee suffered back in November.

Carlisle defender Lubo Michalik could return to Greg Abbott's squad for the clash at Peterborough.

The Slovakia international has missed the last five matches due to a torn hamstring, but could make a timely return to the squad due to the latest injury sustained to fellow centre-half Danny Livesey.

Livesey, who only returned to the side in January after missing over half the season with a groin injury, strained his hamstring during the warm-up ahead of the midweek win over Hartlepool and was replaced in the starting line-up by Liam Cooper.

Cooper, on loan from Hull, had returned to the substitutes' bench the previous week after being sidelined with a broken bone in his hand.

Matty Robson is expected to retain his place at left-back after recently keeping Gary Borrowdale out of the side. Borrowdale has returned to parent club QPR.

Midfielder Liam Noble, on loan from Sunderland, starts a three-game ban following his straight red card in midweek, so fellow-loanee Harry Arter could make his first start.
