Norris: Set to miss out again for hosts

Ipswich captain David Norris is set to miss out again for the hosts.

The midfielder has missed the last two games through suspension after picking up 10 yellow cards and is now struggling with an ankle injury.

Norris has not trained all week so on-loan West Ham man Kieron Dyer is set to start against the strugglers, while Colin Healy could come back after five weeks out with a stomach injury.

Mark Kennedy - who can play in midfield or at left-back - will be out for several weeks with a hamstring injury so Darren O'Dea will continue at full-back.

Goalkeeper Brian Murphy has stepped up his comeback from a broken ankle after coming out of plaster but Marton Fulop will continue.

Defender Tommy Smith has joined League One side Colchester on loan until the end of the season.

Scunthorpe caretaker boss Tony Daws has been handed a boost after Andy Hughes, Sam Togwell and Ben Gordon were passed fit to make the trip.

Utility-man Hughes sustained a facial injury during Tuesday's 3-0 home defeat to Preston and was replaced during the first half, but he is available to face the Tractor Boys.

Midfielder Togwell has missed the last two matches with a hamstring strain and left-back Gordon is suffering from the same injury.

He was replaced at half-time against Leicester last weekend and missed out altogether in midweek.

Goalkeeper Joe Murphy (ankle), midfielder Garry Thompson (groin) and right-back Cliff Byrne (back) all remain sidelined as the Iron seek to breathe new life into their fight against the drop.
