Howson (l): Has a hamstring injury

Leeds could be without skipper Jonny Howson for the game.

The midfielder is struggling with the hamstring strain that forced him to pull out of the England Under-21s squad last week and could face a late fitness test.

Manager Simon Grayson has plenty of other options, with latest loan signing Jake Livermore hoping to make his debut following his recent arrival from Tottenham, Barry Bannan - on loan from Aston Villa - and Neil Kilkenny among those vying for places in the starting line-up.

Striker Billy Paynter will miss out as he starts a three-game ban following his dismissal in the 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United last time out, so Ross McCormack, Davide Somma or Sanchez Watt will also be hoping to benefit.

Grayson must decide whether to recall fit-again Paul Connolly, recovered from a hamstring injury, or retain Eric Lichaj, another loanee from Aston Villa, and has no other injury or suspension problems as his fifth-placed side take on sixth-placed promotion rivals Forest.

Billy Davies has ruled Paul Konchesky out of his squad to face Forest's promotion rivals.

The on-loan Liverpool defender is still nursing a hamstring injury sustained during the defeat at Swansea prior to the international break.

Davies must decide whether to pick Joel Lynch, fit again after an ankle problem, or Julian Bennett to fill in at left-back.

Marcus Tudgay has recovered from the illness that ruled him out against the Swans and he will be added to the squad.

There is a chance that fellow striker Robert Earnshaw, who also missed the trip to Swansea and Wales' Euro 2012 qualifier against England in Cardiff last weekend, could return after a hamstring injury.

Midfielder Guy Moussi (thigh) is not yet ready to be considered for a recall.
