Khumalo: Poised for debut

Preston boss Phil Brown could hand a debut to new signing Bongani Khumalo.

North End signed the South Africa international for the rest of the season shortly before the emergency loan window closed.

Khumalo joined Tottenham in January for £1.5million from Supersport United following a successful spell on trial but has yet to play for Harry Redknapp's side.

His arrival boosts Brown's relegation battlers, but the Lilywhites boss will check on the fitness of Sean St Ledger.

The centre-back has undergone treatment on the knee ligament injury he suffered during training with the Republic of Ireland.

Preston are aiming to record their third successive win after victories over Scunthorpe and Coventry in their previous two outings.

Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers has a fully-fit squad at his disposal for the trip.

Tamas Priskin, on loan from Ipswich, could be handed his debut at Deepdale after last week arriving from Ipswich until the end of the season.

However, Rodgers will find it difficult to make any changes to the XI who put in a superb display to see off Nottingham Forest 3-2 prior to the international break.

Skipper Garry Monk, now back to full fitness after his knee ligament injury, made his return as a 77th-minute substitute against Forest but may be on the bench again.

On-loan Chelsea forward Fabio Borini and winger Scott Sinclair, who were in scintillating form to see off the Reds, have returned from Under-21s duty with their respective nations, while a host of City's senior internationals are also back in South Wales in one piece.

Swans go into the clash looking to leapfrog Norwich - who host Scunthorpe - into second place although they will not find it easy against a North End side who are battling relegation and have successive victories under their belts.
