Williams: Back injury

Scunthorpe boss Alan Knill looks set to be without defender Marcus Williams.

The on-loan Reading full-back, who quit Glanford Park for the Royals in the summer, rejoined the Iron on loan a fortnight ago.

However, a back injury has so far left him sidelined and looks likely to do so again, although on-loan Leeds striker Ramon Nunez is set to make his home debut for the bottom-placed club.

Defender Paul Reid was sent off in last weekend's 6-0 defeat at Norwich and will miss out against Neil Warnock's men as he serves a one-game ban.

Winger Garry Thompson has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing groin surgery last week.

QPR are sweating on the fitness of skipper Adel Taarabt.

The 15-goal midfielder hardly trained last week due to stomach pains but still managed 70 minutes of Monday night's 3-0 win over Sheffield United.

Rangers have since sent Taarabt for a scan in a bid to find the cause of the problem.

Hogan Ephraim will be in line for a recall if the Moroccan is ruled out.

Boss Neil Warnock has an otherwise unchanged squad to choose from with defender Peter Ramage (cruciate) and striker Jamie Mackie (broken leg) the only long-term absentees.

Rangers are nine points clear at the top of the Championship and need three more wins to be certain of promotion.
