Dundee United defender Keith Watson has strained a calf muscle so will not be risked, but Garry Kenneth and Scott Severin are available after recent injury absences.

Long-term absentee Darren Dods (knee) is still out.

St Johnstone have doubts over Dave MacKay and goalkeeper Peter Enckelman.

Mackay is a slight concern with a hamstring injury, while Enckelman has a knee problem.

Graham Gartland (groin), Steven Anderson (knee) and Collin Samuel (hip) are all back in the squad.
