Evans: Set to return for Blades

Sheffield United strikers Ched Evans and Richard Cresswell are expected to return to the squad.

Cresswell has missed the last four matches due to groin and Achilles injuries, while Evans has been sidelined for three games with a knee problem.

Irish midfielder David McAllister, who scored on his full debut in last Saturday's 3-2 home win over Bristol City, is also hoping to return to Micky Adams' starting line-up after missing Monday's victory at Reading due to a calf strain.

Teenage centre-half Harry Maguire will return to contention following a one-game ban and Adams must decide whether to put him straight back into his side.

Forward Daniel Bogdanovic is unlikely to feature as he is struggling with illness as well as an ankle knock.

The Blades require a third successive win in the hope that Doncaster lose at home to Leicester in order to keep their faint survival hopes alive.

Barnsley striker Marlon Harewood is a major doubt for the South Yorkshire derby.

Harewood, on loan from Blackpool, sustained a hamstring injury in last Saturday's defeat at Watford and missed Monday's home draw with Doncaster.

Tykes manager Mark Robins said: "We're just going to monitor that over the next 24 hours. He's gone back to Blackpool for assessment and if he's not fit [on Friday] we can count him out."

Teenager Reuben Noble-Lazarus stepped in for Harewood on Monday, while fellow teenagers Jordan Clark and Danny Rose will be hoping to build on their late substitute appearances.

Robins, whose side require three more points to beat last season's tally of 54, has no other new injury or suspension problems, but defender Luke Potter remains sidelined with a knee problem that has kept him out since November.
