Baldock: Possible starter for Dons

Sam Baldock is pushing for a starting role as the Dons look to cement a play-off place.

The striker came off the bench during the 1-0 defeat at Plymouth on Monday after being rested but is in line to return.

On-loan QPR forward Angelo Balanta has started the last two games after his recovery from an ankle problem that had kept him out for five months and he could be the one to make way.

Manager Karl Robinson signed a new three-year contract on Thursday and can secure a place in the top six at the end of his first season in charge with a win.

Defender Danny Woodards remains absent with a hamstring strain so Mathias Doumbe will continue at right-back.

Fabian Brandy is a doubt for Notts County.

Former Manchester United trainee Brandy was forced off during the home draw against Brentford on Easter Monday after sustaining a knock and the striker will be assessed.

Defender Carl Regan and winger David Martin have returned to Bristol Rovers and Derby respectively following the end of their loan spells at Meadow Lane.

But boss Martin Allen has options should he wish to make changes to his starting line-up against one of his former clubs.

Defenders Sam Sodje and John Thompson, midfielder John Spicer and forwards Craig Westcarr, Ben Burgess and Niogo Demba-Nyren are all available for recalls.
