Andy Hessenthaler will be looking to stick to a winning formula.

The promotion chasers picked up a crucial 1-0 win over Rotherham on Easter Monday to keep hold of their play-off spot and Hessenthaler is unlikely to make any unforced changes for the visit of the Silkmen.

Centre-half Simon King received a knock to his ribs and was substituted in the victory at Don Valley, but the Gills coaching staff expect him to be fit.

Young forward Stefan Payne will definitely miss out with a knee injury, while the same problem will ensure midfielder Curtis Weston plays no part.

Chris Palmer has not featured since November after undergoing surgery on his knee and the midfielder is not likely to play in the remaining two matches.

When the two sides met at Moss Rose in December, Gillingham recorded a 4-2 win.

Gary Simpson will be without striker Vinny Mukendi for the trip to Gillingham.

Mukendi succumbed to an ankle injury while playing for Congo Under-19s in the Reze International Football Tournament over the Easter Weekend.

He is set be out for up to four weeks on the sidelines and therefore will not play again this season.

Midfielder Paul Bolland will also miss the last two games after undergoing surgery on his shoulder, which will rule him out of action for between six to eight weeks.

Silkmen skipper Paul Morgan is out for the season with a broken arm while midfielder Matt Hamshaw has been nursing a badly swollen ankle in training this week, although he is hoping to be passed fit.
