Paddy Kenny is likely to start in goal at Loftus Road, with Bradley Orr coming in at right-back and Clint Hill on the left.

Shaun Derry should make his debut in central midfield and Leon Clarke and Jamie Mackie are pushing for places up front.

Midfielder Adel Taarabt, who signed on a permanent deal from Tottenham on Thursday after last season's loan spell, will also be involved in the squad.

Defender Peter Ramage is banned for the first two games of the campaign after his red card in the final game of last season.

Midfielders Martin Rowlands and Lee Cook (both knee) are the only injury absentees.
