Norwich could hand a debut to defender Leon Barnett in Saturday's Championship clash against Nottingham Forest at The City Ground.

Barnett has arrived on loan from Premier League side West Brom and he could start in place of Michael Nelson.

Nelson picked up an ankle injury in the closing stages of last Saturday's 2-0 win over Swansea and is set for several weeks on the sidelines after a scan.

Danish defender Jens Berthel Askou played in the midweek Carling Cup defeat at Blackburn and will be hoping to keep his place.

Manager Paul Lambert made several changes for the trip to Ewood Park and will recall a host of players with John Ruddy, Adam Drury, Andrew Surman, Andrew Crofts, Chris Martin and Korey Smith set to be back in the side.
