O'Connor joined on a one-month loan deal late on Friday but it was not in time to feature in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Norwich at Carrow Road.

Hugo Colace, Barnsley's only injury doubt, is facing a race against time to be fit after failing to recover from a calf injury and missing the trip to Norfolk.

If Colace does recover, it is expected he will go straight back into the starting line-up at the expense of Nathan Doyle, who deputised for the former Argentina Under-20 captain at Carrow Road.

Other than Colace, boss Mark Robins has a fully-fit squad to choose from as they look to continue their 100% league record at home this season.
