After injuries to Chris Porter and the sale of Rob Hulse to QPR, Clough has dipped into the loan market to sign Kuqi from Swansea and he goes straight into the squad for the game at the KC Stadium.

New signing Alberto Bueno has also signed on loan and is hopeful of a start after warming the bench at the weekend in the home loss to Sheffield United while Kris Commons, who has been playing as a make-shift striker, will move back to his more favoured position on the left wing.

Defender Russell Anderson will have to settle for a place on the bench after recovering from a groin strain he picked up in Derby's first game of the season.
