The full-back missed Tuesday night's defeat by Hull after injuring his hamstring against Sheffield United at the weekend.

Dean Moxey is likely to continue at left-back if Roberts does not recover in time.

Midfielder Kris Commons will be hoping for a recall after being dropped to the bench in midweek.

Striker Chris Porter is still struggling with a hip injury so Shefki Kuqi, who made his debut against Hull, should keep his place in attack.

Defender Russell Anderson is close to returning from the groin strain he suffered on the opening day of the season and could be added to the squad.
