Pratley: Needs a fitness test

Swansea will check on the fitness of Darren Pratley and David Cotterill ahead of the visit of Derby.

Pratley (shoulder) and Cotterill (groin) missed Tuesday's 3-2 victory at Watford as City registered their first away points of the season.

Manager Brendan Rodgers admits there are also a few niggles within his squad as a result of their hectic schedule of late but none are thought to be serious.

Rodgers must decide who to partner in attack with Stephen Dobbie returning from an ankle injury to grab the Swans' second at Vicarage Road before on-loan Frank Nouble came off the bench to score his first senior goal. Craig Beattie (calf) also returned from his lengthy lay-off to take his place in the matchday 18.

Ashley Williams was deployed in a holding midfield role for the clash but he is likely to move back into the heart of defence for the clash against Derby.

Full-back Angel Rangel is back in contention after his stint in the treatment room nursing a thigh injury and is pushing Neil Taylor all the way.

On-loan striker Luke Moore could make his first start for Derby on Saturday.

Moore, who is on a month's loan from West Brom, has made substitute appearances in the home victories against Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough.

He would replace Shefki Kuqi, on loan from the Swans, as the big Finnish forward is ineligible to face his parent club.

If Moore starts, fellow loanee Ryan Noble will remain on the bench. The England Under-19 striker was an unused substitute against Middlesbrough on Tuesday night following his arrival from Sunderland the previous day.

The Rams remain short in defence, with Dean Leacock (hamstring), Russell Anderson (groin), Jake Buxton (back), Miles Addison (foot) and Mitch Hanson (knee) all out.

Gareth Roberts (hamstring) is also absent but Chris Porter could be on the bench after returning to training following a month out with a hip problem.
