Hearts have doubts over Stephen Elliott, David Templeton and Suso Santana but Craig Thomson returns from suspension.

Elliott complained of a tight hamstring in midweek while the two wingers picked up knocks in training.

Andrew Driver suffered a thigh problem on his comeback from knee surgery while Lee Wallace (knee), Marius Zaliukas (contract dispute) and Dawid Kucharski (calf) remain absent.

Rangers manager Walter Smith has a couple of injury concerns ahead of the game.

Defenders Madjid Bougherra (hip) and Kirk Broadfoot (foot) both have knocks but should recover for the visit to Tynecastle.

Striker Nikica Jelavic will be back in the squad after missing the midweek Champions League win over Bursaspor through ineligibility.
