Striker Johan Elmander came closest to opening the scoring on Saturday when he saw his shot hit the outside of the post shortly before half-time and only an excellent performance by goalkeeper Robert Olejnik kept the Bairns in the game.

For Bolton, Adam Bogdan posted his third clean sheet of pre-season while Chung-Yong Lee got through 60 minutes in his first start since reporting back from World Cup duty.
