Mauro Boselli scored twice as Wigan rounded off their Premier League preparations with a 3-1 friendly win at Dundee United on Sunday.

Boselli, signed this summer from Estudiantes, opened the scoring at Tannadice with a calm finish in the 34th minute and added a second at the start of the second half with a diving header from Maynor Figueroa's excellent cross.

Boselli played a part in their third as well, knocking the ball down for Victor Moses to smash a glorious shot into the top corner from 20 yards late on.

Danny Cadamarteri grabbed an immediate consolation for Dundee United with another fine effort but Wigan already had the game sewn up.
