Leicester: Beat Pompey in midweek

Portsmouth will be without Richard Hughes for their rematch against Leicester after the midfielder was sent off during Tuesday night's Carling Cup defeat to the Foxes.

Hughes starts a two-match ban, ruling him out of the Championship meeting between the sides as well as next week's visit of Bristol City.

Michael Brown is likely to reclaim his place in the starting line-up in Hughes' absence, while defender Ricardo Rocha, who sat out on Tuesday with a knock, will be checked over.

Strikers Dave Kitson and John Utaka dropped to the bench in midweek and will push for starts.

Defender Hermann Hreidarsson (Achilles), frontman Danny Webber (cruciate) and youngsters Tom Kilbey (knee) and Billy Goddard (shin) are still on the sidelines.

Leicester boss Paulo Sousa faces a welcome selection headache after making eight changes for the midweek win on the south coast.

Goalscorers Michael Morrison and Lloyd Dyer, along with midfielder Andy King, were the only survivors from the side that started the Championship defeat to QPR.

Sousa must decide whether to make wholesale changes once more, or stick with the majority of the players that came in on Tuesday night.

Winger Paul Gallacher could be one of few players to keep his place in the team, with the likes of Matt Oakley, Ritchie Wellens, Matty Fryatt and Martyn Waghorn strong contenders to return to the starting XI.

Conrad Logan will hope to keep his place in goal, but Carl Ikeme is usually recalled following cup matches while Chris Weale is also back in the frame after a shoulder injury.
