Franco Di Santo could feature for Wigan after making a quick recovery from the ankle injury suffered following a challenge by Birmingham midfielder Craig Gardner, which saw him sent off, last weekend.

On-loan midfielder Tom Cleverley might also come into contention after shaking off a knee injury suffered in training.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy could name an unchanged starting XI against Latics after declaring himself happy with recent performances despite three succesive defeats.

Stephen Hunt is back in training after his lengthy lay-off with a foot problem but is not ready to return, while defender Ronald Zubar (hamstring) is still sidelined.

Adlene Guedioura begins a four to six-month lay-off after suffering a broken leg against Aston Villa last weekend.
