Somma: On the scoresheet

Somma: On the scoresheet

Both players were loaned out last season but were on the scoresheet in the second half after academy youngster Dominic Poleon netted the only goal of the first half.

The home side also put through their own net twice in a game which saw defender Jason Crowe complete his first 90 minutes of pre-season after recovering from an ankle injury.

Reserve team manager Neil Thompson told the club's official website: "It was a difficult pitch but it was a good battle and a good test.

"Crowey played the full 90 minutes which was pleasing as did one or two others and it was a good work-out. Some of the young lads performed well and will have taken plenty from it.

"These games are all about fitness but you can't ask for much more than scoring five goals and keeping a clean sheet."
