Wilkins has been placed in temporary charge following Alan Pardew's sacking on Monday morning.

He may have to do without midfielder Adam Lallana, who came off with a knock to his knee during Saturday's 4-0 win at Bristol Rovers.

Centre-half Dan Seaborne is set to miss out again with a foot injury while full-back Frazer Richardson is still recovering from a dislocated shoulder.

New Brazilian midfielder Guly do Prado made his debut as a late substitute on Saturday and should be involved again.

David Connolly, Paul Wotton and youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are pushing to be involved.
