Walter Smith is still sweating over the fitness of Maurice Edu and Vladimir Weiss ahead of Rangers' Champions League game at Valencia.

Edu was forced out of Saturday's draw with Inverness after suffering a calf injury but has more of a chance than Smith initially thought for Tuesday night's clash at the Mestalla.

Weiss also missed the second half at the weekend after struggling with a heel problem that had been bothering him in the warm-up and both will be assessed ahead of the European tie.
