Midfielder Joe Cole is set to make his first appearance for five weeks in Liverpool's Europa League tie away to Steaua Bucharest.

The England international has been sidelined by a hamstring injury but will take his place in a weakened side.

Steven Gerrard (hamstring) and Jamie Carragher (shoulder) are unavailable while Dirk Kuyt, Raul Meireles, Fernando Torres, Paul Konchesky, Glen Johnson and Maxi Rodriguez have been rested.

Reserve-team youngsters Jack Robinson and John Flanagan, in the squad for the first time, have also travelled.
