Bednar: In contention for start

Di Matteo made 11 alterations to his line-up for the 2-0 away triumph over Leyton Orient in the previous round.

The Albion boss is not expected to take such drastic measures for the visit of Roberto Mancini's side but the likes of Roman Bednar, Steven Reid, Gianni Zuiverloon and Giles Barnes will be in contention for a rare start.

Nicky Shorey is one player expected to be retained from the weekend win over Birmingham as fellow left-backs Marek Cech and Joe Mattock are not ready to return from injury.

Albion (from): Carson, Myhill, Jara, Tamas, Olsson, Shorey, Brunt, Mulumbu, Brunt, Scharner, Odemwingie, Fortune, Dorrans, Barnes, Bednar, Reid, Wood, Zuiverloon, Cox, Ibanez, Tchoyi, Barnett.
