Allen: Set to replace Gower

Swansea will again be without Mark Gower after the midfielder was on Thursday ruled out for up to four weeks.

Gower missed Tuesday's goalless draw with league leaders QPR due to the hamstring tear he sustained in the 1-0 victory at Reading last weekend and will not play again until next month.

David Cotterill stepped into the side in midweek but was replaced at half-time by Joe Allen, who is the likely frontrunner to start proceedings at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday having impressed from the bench.

Cotterill's first-half penalty miss, his second of the season, also means he is likely to be relieved of spot-kick duties, with Stephen Dobbie favourite to take over.

Fellow midfielder Kemy Agustien (knee) is steadily building his fitness and could well feature for City's reserves next week with a view to being in contention for the trip to Crystal Palace at the end of the month.

Loan signing Marvin Emnes is still waiting for his debut after arriving from Middlesbrough on Monday.

Paul Gallacher misses out for Leicester but fellow midfielder Lloyd Dyer comes back into the reckoning.

Gallacher, who came off after an hour of the victory at Leeds in midweek, is nursing a back problem.

Dyer is fit to return from the hamstring injury he suffered on the mid-season trip to Thailand during this month's international break.

Left-back Greg Cunningham goes straight into the squad following his arrival on loan from Manchester City.

However, Darius Vassell may postpone his involvement after joining the club this week. The striker has not played a competitive match since leaving Turkish side Ankaragucu in May.

He told the Leicester Mercury: "I want to get involved as soon as possible but I have to try to avoid injuries because that is always a risk when you have not played that much. There is always that chance and I want to be in peak condition when I get out there."
