Maloney: Could miss Co-op Cup clash

Shaun Maloney is a doubt for Celtic's Co-op Cup quarter-final at St Johnstone.

The Hoops skipper came off early in the first half against Rangers at Parkhead on Sunday after taking a bang on the eye and manager Neil Lennon will assess him after training on Tuesday.

James Forrest's ankle injury keeps him sidelined but Charlie Mulgrew has recovered from a hamstring complaint and Thomas Rogne is back in training following a calf injury, though he will not be ready until the weekend.

St Johnstone will have an unchanged squad at McDiarmind Park.

Graham Gartland and Kevin Moon (both knee) and Jody Morris (rib) are all out.

Keeper Peter Enckelman will be on the bench again although he is still restricted with a thigh injury.

St Johnstone (from): Smith, Maybury, Grainger, Duberry, MacKay, Craig, Davidson, Millar, Samuel, Haber, Jackson, Caddis, Parkin, Rutkiewicz, MacDonald, Enckelman, Myrie-Williams, May.

Celtic (from): Forster, Loovens, Wilson, Majstorovic, Izaguirre, Ledley, Ki, Samaras, Stokes, McCourt, Hooper, Juarez, Cha Du-Ri, Zaluska, McGinn, Twardzik, Towell, Mulgrew.
