Wednesday winger Jermaine Johnson has been ruled out.
Johnson missed Sunday's FA Cup win at Southport due to a hamstring injury and will not be risked in the northern section quarter-final tie by manager Alan Irvine.
Irvine has no new injury or suspension problems, but could be tempted to make one or two changes as he selects from more or less the same squad.
Teenage striker Liam Palmer is vying for a place on the bench, while Marcus Tudgay, Chris Sedgwick and Paul Heffernan - all named as substitutes on Sunday - will be hoping for recalls to the starting line-up.
Wednesday beat Notts County and then Chesterfield on penalties in previous rounds of the competition.
Skipper Ritchie Humphreys misses out through suspension for the first time in his career when Hartlepool take on the Owls.
Humphreys was shown a straight red for serious foul play in Saturday's goalless FA Cup tie with Vauxhall Motors, but the club appealed on the grounds that the veteran midfielder had legally challenged goalkeeper Scott Tynan for a 50/50 ball.
However, the appeal was unsuccessful and Humphreys now starts a three-game ban - the first time he has been suspended in a 15-year career.
Caretaker manager Mick Wadsworth has fitness concerns over striker Colin Larkin, who is struggling with a back problem, while defender Peter Hartley has been unwell and could miss the Northern Area quarter final.
Strikers Adam Boyd (back) and James Brown (ankle) missed the cup tie with Vauxhall and remain doubtful.
