Monk: Could face Lions

Skipper Garry Monk is back in contention for Swansea after being given the green light to return to training having missed the last three matches with a calf injury.

Monk is likely to come in alongside Ashley Williams at the heart of defence, with Alan Tate reverting to full-back and Angel Rangel keeping his place on the opposite flank.

Jermaine Easter is still to make his City debut having signed on loan from MK Dons, and he will again be assessed ahead of kick-off as he looks to shake off a thigh problem and prove his worth with the January window fast approaching.

Tom Butler is targeting a February return from his long-term thigh injury, with the winger yet to make an appearance under manager Brendan Rodgers and his current contract set to expire in the summer.

Friday's encounter sees the return of former boss Kenny Jackett, who managed Swansea between 2004 and 2007 and guided the club to promotion from League Two, a subsequent League One play-off final and Football League Trophy success at the Millennium Stadium.

Millwall striker Kevin Lisbie could return for the clash against the Swans.

Lisbie has been missing for a month with a knee injury but is close to being fit and may make the bench in South Wales.

But midfielder Liam Trotter looks set to miss out again with the hamstring injury which sidelined him for last Saturday's 3-0 win over Scunthorpe.

Wingers Chris Hackett and Danny Schofield were on the bench at the weekend after recovering from knee problems and will be involved again.

Josh McQuoid, who made his debut as a half-time substitute against Scunthorpe after joining from Bournemouth, could start his first game.

Fellow striker Shaun Batt is a long-term absentee with a knee injury.
