Mulumbu: Banned for Baggies

Ipswich defender Damien Delaney serves a one-game suspension after being sent off for bringing down Norwich captain Grant Holt in the 4-1 thrashing at Carrow Road on Sunday.

Under-pressure manager Roy Keane will also be without right-back Gianni Zuiverloon. The Dutchman made his debut in the derby defeat but is on loan from Albion and barred from facing his parent club.

Goalkeeper Marton Fulop is a doubt with an ankle injury picked up against the Canaries, striker Connor Wickham will be sidelined for a fortnight with a thigh problem and Luke Hyam and Mark Kennedy are nursing hamstring injuries.

Fellow defender Tom Eastman will be out for a week or two with a groin problem, while captain Gareth McAuley is out of action for two months after having an operation on his Achilles injury.

Winger Luca Civelli was on the bench at Carrow Road and could make his first appearance for more than 18 months after a severe knee injury.

West Brom midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu begins a two-game ban after being sent-off for two bookable offences during Saturday's 4-1 Premier League win at Everton.

He has to serve an extra one match suspension - against Newcastle on Sunday - as it was his second red card of the campaign.

Albion boss Roberto Di Matteo has made many changes in the previous rounds of the competition and is likely to adopt a similar policy once more.
