Jason Roberts is due to return for injury-ravaged Blackburn for clash.

Striker Nikola Kalinic is still suspended while Brett Emerton is with Australia for their Asian Cup campaign.

Goalkeeper Paul Robinson, Steven Nzonzi, Phil Jones, Keith Andrews and Vince Grella remain sidelined.

QPR will be without striker Patrick Agyemang when they travel to Lancashire.

Rangers are awaiting the results of a scan on Agyemang's leg amid fears he has suffered a stress fracture of the tibia.

Neil Warnock's squad is stretched as centre-half Matt Connolly is suspended, full-back Kyle Walker's loan has expired, striker Antonio German is cup-tied and Peter Ramage, Akos Buzsaky and Lee Cook (all knee) are on the sidelines.

Warnock plans to make changes with promotion his priority, but he vowed to pick centre-backs Clint Hill and Kaspars Gorkss again after their mistakes gifted Bristol City their goals in Monday's 2-2 draw.

Norwegian midfielder Petter Vaagen Moen is expected to make his full debut.
