Ince: Has options

Conor Clifford and Kevin McDonald return to the home team's squad.

The on-loan midfielders were ineligible for the FA Cup fourth-round replay against Manchester City last weekend as they were not registered with the club for the original tie on January 30.

With Stephen Darby injured during the defeat at Eastlands, new loan signing Carl Regan could make his debut after joining from League One rivals Bristol Rovers this week although John Thompson and Graeme Lee are other options for boss Paul Ince.

Fellow defender Liam Chilvers made his return from a knee injury as a late substitute against City and could be included on the bench again.

Midfielders Lewis Gobern and John Spicer are also available for recalls.

Meanwhile, Simon Francis is poised to return to Charlton's squad.

The defender missed last weekend's surprise 3-1 home defeat by Exeter after coming off worse in a collision with a dug-out at Hartlepool.

Francis suffered a back injury and a fractured hand but is expected to be available on Friday night, leaving manager Chris Powell with a selection dilemma after youngster Carl Jenkinson impressed on his full debut at right-back.

Striker Paul Benson is still struggling with a back problem and left-back Federico Bessone remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.

But forward Joe Anyinsah is pushing for a start after he was an unused substitute against Exeter having recovered from a groin injury.
