Navarro: Remains sidelined for Seagulls

Brighton manager Gus Poyet has no new injury concerns ahead of the clash with Colchester.

Midfield duo Alan Navarro and Jamie Smith and full-back Jim McNulty are the only players in the treatment room.

Navarro is edging closer to a return from the ruptured cruciate ligament he suffered in August, Smith is out for two months after fracturing a metatarsal in training last week and McNulty is recovering from ankle surgery.

Poyet could make changes after their lead at the top was cut to three points following the defeat at Bournemouth on Saturday.

Top scorer Glenn Murray will be pushing for a return to the starting line-up after he was dropped to the bench at Dean Court.

Colchester boss John Ward is likely to stick with his line-up for a third straight match when they head to leaders Brighton.

Defenders Magnus Okuonghae and Brian Wilson are still missing with ankle ligament injuries so Pat Baldwin and Lee Beevers will continue in the back four.

Long-term absentees Morten Knudsen and John-Joe O'Toole are still recovering from knee problems but the Us suffered no new injuries during Saturday's goalless draw at Huddersfield.

Iceland forward Matt Vilhjalmsson was an unused substitute at the Galpharm following his recent loan switch and will be on the bench again.

Defender Conor Powell, who joined the club two weeks ago from Irish club Bohemians, could be added to the squad.
