Modric: A worry for Spurs

Modric: A worry for Spurs

Tottenham will be without Gareth Bale after he failed to recover from a back injury.

Luka Modric (appendix) will train with the squad at the San Siro tonight but is unlikely to start and Jermaine Jenas is missing through suspension.

So that will mean starts for Sandro and Wilson Palacios in central midfield.

Rafael van der Vaart should play after he showed good signs of recovery from his calf injury but Peter Crouch is a doubt with a back injury that has required him to have an epidural injection.

Tottenham (from): Gomes, Pletikosa, Cudicini, Hutton, Corluka, Gallas, Bassong, Assou-Ekotto, Woodgate, Dawson, Sandro, Palacios, Lennon, Pienaar, Van der Vaart, Crouch, Pavlyuchenko, Defoe.
