Jackson: Doubtful for Charlton

Charlton winger Johnnie Jackson is doubtful.

Jackson had to go off at half-time during Saturday's defeat at Notts County after picking up a knock and is being assessed, with Scott Wagstaff on standby to deputise.

Striker Pawel Abbott is in talks over a move away from The Valley and will not figure.

Paul Benson remains a doubt with a hamstring problem so Joe Anyinsah is likely to partner Bradley Wright-Phillips in attack again.

On-loan Leeds defender Federico Bessone is expected to be sidelined for several more weeks with a hamstring injury so youngster Carl Jenkinson is set to continue at left-back.

Charlton have lost their last three matches and slipped five points off the play-off places.

Carlisle manager Greg Abbott is expected to recall on-loan defender Gary Borrowdale.

Borrowdale has been restricted to just two appearances due to suspension and illness since arriving from QPR at the end of January and was an unused substitute in Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

Winger Matty Robson has been filling in at left-back in recent weeks, but could revert to his preferred position on the left of midfield.

Central defender Lubo Michalik is not ready to return following a hamstring injury, skipper Paul Thirlwell is recovering from a calf strain and defender Liam Cooper, on loan from Hull, remains sidelined with a broken bone in his hand.

Cumbrians boss Abbott gave a clear indication that he wanted to bring in a wide player on loan after his side's lacklustre display against Wednesday.
