Barnes: Ankle injury

Ashley Barnes looks set to miss out for Brighton.

The striker twisted his ankle during the 1-0 victory at Oldham and boss Gus Poyet said he needed "a miracle" for the striker to feature.

Fran Sandaza and Gary Hart are in line to replace Barnes, but Chris Wood could be handed a start before he leaves to join up with the New Zealand squad for an international match.

Defender Tommy Elphick is back in contention after missing the trip to Boundary Park with mumps, but Jim McNulty (ankle) and Jamie Smith (foot) will both miss out.

The Seagulls have won five games on the spin and have kept three clean sheets in a row.

Striker Craig Westcarr could be in line for a return for struggling Notts County.

Westcarr picked up a knock in the Magpies' 1-0 home defeat against Peterborough and has not featured since.

County were boosted by the return of Lee Hughes against Bristol Rovers on Saturday after the 12-goal striker had missed five games with a thigh injury.

He could partner Njogu Demba-Nyren up front if Westcarr fails to recover, but Alan Gow and Febian Brandy are also in contention to start.

Midfielder Ricky Ravenhill has not featured since March 8 as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Ince's side have scored just once in their last five matches, leaving them three points above the relegation zone.
