Nurse: Should be on the left for Daggers

Brighton will be without skipper Gordon Greer as they attempt to secure promotion.

Greer was sent off during Saturday's 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday and starts a four-match suspension as it was his second red card of the season.

Tommy Elphick will step in at centre-half with full-back Inigo Calderon poised to take the captain's armband.

Midfielder Jamie Smith could be added to the squad having recovered from a foot injury and striker Chris Holroyd is available after returning from his loan spell at Bury.

Full-back Jim McNulty is the only injury absentee as he continues his recovery from an ankle operation.

The Seagulls know they will be promoted to the Championship with a victory over the Daggers.

Dagenham midfielder Darren Currie is likely to make way for the daunting trip to the champions elect.

Manager John Still has favoured a 4-5-1 shape away from home in recent weeks so Currie is likely to drop out with striker Jon Nurse moving out into his place on the left.

That should see Damian Scannell or Oliver Lee come into midfield from the start.

Midfielder Solomon Taiwo is available again following his ankle injury picked up at Swindon a month ago but is likely to be on the bench.

Striker John Akinde scored his first goal for the club in the 3-1 win over Notts County on Saturday and will keep his place as the Daggers look to keep clear of the drop zone.
